Tagoro Family & SEND-Friendly Hotel Review – Easter Holidays

We spent 7 nights at Tagoro Family & Fun in Costa Adeje during the Easter holidays. It was me and the boys (aged 8 and 7 at the time) in a one-bedroom apartment with a hot tub balcony, while my mum stayed in a double room nearby.

First Impressions

After landing at Tenerife South, we were pleasantly surprised to discover the transfer only took around 15 minutes. Check-in was quick and easy, and all the staff we encountered throughout the holiday were incredibly friendly.

Tagoro immediately felt welcoming and very family focused.

Our Room – Worth Upgrading

We stayed in a one-bedroom apartment with a hot tub on the balcony and honestly, this was my favourite thing about the entire holiday. The apartment was spacious, modern and spotlessly clean. It included:

- Separate bedroom with two queen beds.
- Pull-out sofa bed in the lounge.
- Kitchen area with fridge and kettle.
- Plenty of room for downtime.

Storage could have been better for larger families, but for the three of us it worked well. The hot tub itself was fantastic. You can adjust the temperature, and Rowan absolutely loved it. We used it most afternoons and evenings, which meant I could still enjoy some sunshine while the boys relaxed. We paid to choose our room and selected one overlooking the main pool. It still felt surprisingly private. One thing worth noting is that some rooms appeared darker or more overlooked, so I would definitely recommend paying to choose your room if possible.

Location

Tagoro sits slightly uphill above Costa Adeje. The beach is around a 15-minute walk away, or you can use the free shuttle bus. Taxis are inexpensive and plentiful, which worked perfectly for us as my youngest dislikes walking. Within five minutes of the hotel you'll find:

- Burger King
- McDonald's
- A supermarket
- Bars and restaurants
- Soft play

Costa Adeje itself has pretty much everything you could want for a family holiday.

Food and Drinks

We stayed all inclusive. The food wasn't the biggest selection I've ever seen, but there was always plenty available and nobody went hungry. Breakfast was excellent and easily the best meal of the day. For picky eaters there was always:

- Pizza
- Chips
- Pasta

There were themed evenings, plus allergy information available via QR codes, which I thought was a great touch. Drinks were available all day and the cocktails were surprisingly good. There was also:

- Full drinks menu.
- Snack bar available from lunchtime until 6pm.
- Coffee machines.
- Included ice creams, with premium options available at extra cost.

Pools

There are three pools:

- Main activity pool.
- Children's splash pool.
- Small plunge pool.

The pools were heated, although not particularly warm. They were perfectly usable during Easter. The boys spent most of their time in the splash pool, which was quieter than the main pool and featured a small slide and tipping bucket. Sunbeds around the splash pool were easy to find, although the main pool area became much busier. Pool towels are available with a deposit and there are lifeguards on duty between 10am and 6pm.

Entertainment

The entertainment was still indoors during our stay and I imagine it would be even better when moved outside during summer. Typical evenings included:

- Mini disco.
- Family show.

During the day there were sports and games organised around the main pool.

There is also:

- A football pitch.
- Playground with swings, climbing frame and slide.
- Kids club.

The kids club seemed more suited to younger children, probably under seven. There is a games room, although it is small and most activities are chargeable.

SEND-Friendly Thoughts

As a parent of neurodiverse children, I always notice the things that make holidays easier. The main pool area could be noisy and busy, but I found the splash pool much calmer. There were no issues with queues, and having such a large room with our own hot tub gave us somewhere to retreat when we needed downtime. That private outdoor space made a huge difference.

Who Would Love Tagoro?

I think Tagoro is perfect for:

Families with children under 12.
Young siblings.
Mullti-generational holidays.
Families wanting great value.
SEND families needing extra space and downtime.

I can absolutely understand why so many families return year after year.

My boys are starting to grow out of it a little now, mainly because they aren't particularly sporty, but I would happily return for another affordable sunshine break.

7/10

Tagoro isn't luxury.

But it offers something I think many families are looking for – great value, lots of space and a few luxury touches, especially those fabulous hot tub rooms.

For younger families, I think it's hard to beat.
