Lounge 681 Review – Is Leeds Bradford Airport's Premium Lounge Worth It?

Before our recent trip, I was slightly apprehensive about taking my two boys into Lounge 681.

I had visions of it being full of business travellers wanting peace and quiet while my children excitedly counted down to their holiday!

Thankfully, I couldn't have been more wrong.

Family Friendly or Adults Only?

One thing I absolutely loved was that Lounge 681 has been cleverly designed with different areas.

Families have their own section, while those wanting a quieter experience can choose an alternative adults-only and quiet space.

It meant we never felt like we were disturbing anyone, and everyone could enjoy the lounge in the way that suited them best.

Comfortable Seating

The lounge itself feels modern and luxurious.

My boys immediately claimed the gorgeous egg chairs and spent much of the time snuggled up in them!

There were also plenty of comfortable sofas and seating options, whether you wanted to relax with a drink or charge your devices before boarding.

Perfect for Gaming Families

As a mum of two children who love their technology, one of the biggest surprises was how practical everything was.

Every table had:

Two plug sockets

USB charging points

USB-C charging points

Combined with excellent Wi-Fi, it meant the boys could happily game to their heart's content and board the plane with fully charged devices.

A win for everyone!

Food and Drinks

We visited during breakfast, but there was a fantastic mix of breakfast and lunchtime options available.

The full bar menu included premium spirits, wines, juices, soft drinks and hot drinks.

My youngest son's highlight was undoubtedly the marshmallows for the hot chocolate!

Meanwhile, I was very happy sampling some of the flavoured gins on offer.

Never Overcrowded

When we arrived, the lounge was very quiet and we had our pick of seats.

Although it became busier as departure time approached, it never felt overcrowded or stressful.

The atmosphere remained relaxed throughout.

Boarding Couldn't Be Easier

One of my favourite features was the TV screens displaying live gate information.

As soon as our gate appeared, we simply walked out of the lounge and the gate was right there.

No crowded departure lounges and no endless waiting around.

Is It Worth the Money?

At approximately £40 for an adult and £20 for a child, I genuinely think Lounge 681 offers fantastic value.

In our case, access was included through an American Express Priority Pass card, making it even better value.

Who Would I Recommend It To?

Honestly?

Families wanting a calmer start to their holiday.

Solo travellers looking to relax.

Couples wanting to begin their trip in style.

Business travellers.

Final Thoughts

For us, Lounge 681 transformed the start of our holiday.

Instead of the usual stress, queues and noisy departure lounge, we had comfortable seating, great food, premium drinks, happy children and fully charged devices.

It felt like our holiday had started long before we boarded the plane.

As a family with neurodiverse children, we really appreciated how relaxed the atmosphere was.
